LabTech Extrapid Manual Cartridge-Disk SPE

Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) is a widely used and popular sample pretreatment technique. It involves using a solid adsorbent to selectively capture target compounds from a sample, separating them from the sample matrix and interfering substances. The target compounds are then eluted with a solvent to achieve separation and enrichment. Advantages of SPE include faster separation and enrichment, reduced use of organic solvents, and significantly improved stability and reproducibility of analytical results.

SPE methods are mainly divided into cartridge-based and disk-based formats. Disk SPE, with its smooth permeability and high adsorption capacity, is especially suitable for separating and enriching trace organic compounds in large-volume water samples. Traditional cartridge SPE is more suited for small-volume samples in fields such as food, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.

LabTech Extrapid Manual Cartridge-Disk SPE System organically combines both cartridge and disk extraction formats in a single instrument, accommodating both large and small sample volumes and supporting a wider range of methods.

Key Features

Flow Path Switching: Simplifies operation by easily switching between collection and waste liquids, improving method efficiency.

During Operation:

—— From condition to elution, no need to reopen the vacuum chamber.

—— No repeated turning off and on of the vacuum pump.

—— No waiting for vacuum release or removing/replacing collection bottles and racks.

—— No need to discard waste liquid or clean the vacuum chamber.

  • Channels: 4 independent channels that can be used separately without interference.
  • Cartridge-Disk Compatibility: Supports 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE cartridges and 47 mm, 90 mm SPE disks, suitable for a broad range of applications.
  • Flow Control: Uses fine-tuning valves for precise vacuum flow control on each channel, enhancing control and reproducibility of SPE operations.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Materials: Parts in contact with solvents are made of PTFE, stainless steel, and other corrosion-resistant materials, compatible with solvents such as dichloromethane.
